Mr. Porter is the most experienced North American immigration lawyer practicing in Southwest Ontario, having practiced U.S. citizenship and immigration law since his call to the State of Michigan Bar in 1988. He is an American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) mentor to other lawyers and has been recognized by AILA for setting precedent in achieving United States E-2 Treaty Investor Status for the benefit of a Canadian citizen physician.

He has practiced Canadian citizenship and immigration law since his call to the Law Society of Upper Canada Bar (Ontario) in 1992 and is certified as a Specialist in Canadian Citizenship and Immigration Law. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association –citizenship and immigration law section.

Mr. Porter has been published with the Ontario Bar Association, presenting his article upon U.S. admissibility. The article addresses U.S. law as it pertains to a foreign national’s ability to lawfully enter the U.S. subsequent to conviction or U.S. immigration infraction.

His invited speaker credits include:

Ms. Hodgkin is a graduate of the University of Windsor Law School and for the majority of her seventeen plus years of practicing law, Ms. Hodgkin has focused in the area of Family and Matrimonial Law.

Ms. Hodgkin has also taught as a sessional instructor at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, teaching the course "Evidence Law" for three years, concurrent to full time practice. Ms. Hodgkin has also worked as a part time assistant Crown Attorney.

Instead of traditional articles, Ms. Hodgkin boasts of the opportunity of being the first graduate from the University of Windsor to earn the prestigious privilege to clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada in Ottawa. Ms. Hodgkin assisted The Honourable Mr. Justice Sopinka in preparing for Appeals and Leave to Appeal Applications, conducted research and writing in relation to Judgments at the Supreme Court of Canada and participated and assisted in legal seminars and activities in the legal profession on behalf of the Supreme Court of Canada.

Ms. Hodgkin was the recipient of a number of awards and scholarships throughout law school and the Bar Admission course and competed on behalf of the Univeristy of Windsor Law School in the Gale Cup Moot Competition, the Windsor Trial Cup Competition as well as the Zuber Moot Competition.

Ms. Hodgkin has served as Treasurer and thereafter President of the University of Windsor Day Nursery. She has been a member of the Admissions Committee for the University of Windsor's Faculty of Law and was Special Lecturer for the program "Learning About Divorce", sponsored by the Children's Achievement Centre and the Ministry of the Attorney General. Ms. Hodgkin was also a Commitee Member of the Legal Aid Area Committee for Essex County for a number of years. Ms. Hodgkin also served as Treasurer and thereafter President of the Essex County Family Law Lawyers' Association for a number of years.

Currently Ms. Hodgkin is Counsel to various horse associations on a pro bono basis and is Vice President of a local Trail Riders' Association.

Ms. Hodgkin can assist you with the custody challenges, access denials, claims for support (child or spousal), a need for support, property division issues including pension and business valuation, the negotiation and preparation of a Separation Agreement or Divorce, a parent wishing to move with a child or defending against a move, the negotiation and/or preparation of a Cohabitation Agreement or Prenuptial Agreement/Marriage Contract.

Ms. Hodgkin can also provide you with a Legal Opinion concerning the validity of a foreign divorce to allow you to marry in Ontario or assist you with the preparation of your Will, Power of Attorney for Property or Personal Care or with the Administration of an Estate.

Ms. Hodgkin is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association as well as the Essex Law Association.

Cheryl is owned by six horses and her Yorkie and is active in the horse community on a recreational and competitive basis.


Mr. Kadri is a graduate of one of Canada's premier law programs, the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. He specializes in Canadian Immigration law and related corporate matters. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Essex Law Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.

Mr. Kadri has practiced law since his call to the Bar in 2004. He has become widely recognized for devising legal strategies that enable his clients to meet the demands of an increasingly mobile and transient marketplace.

Representing both individuals and corporations, his clients come from over 55 countries around the world. While advancing the interests of those clients, Mr. Kadri has traveled extensively across the globe, often meeting with various heads of State and representatives of foreign governments.

Mr. Kadri's clientele are comprised of some of the world's largest multi-national companies doing business throughout North America. Corporate clients rely exclusively on his skills and expertise to move material and human resources freely across international borders notwithstanding an array of complex legal and regulatory requirements that differ from country to country.

His law practice is strategically located along North America's largest conduit for trade and commerce, the Windsor-Detroit corridor. His office is centrally located in close proximity to the most prominent Canada-US international border crossings and CBSA/CIC immigration processing posts.
